Ford F-150 Spark Plug Defect – Class Action Law Suit

8:47 am Ford Problems, Public Service

Broken_Ford_SparkPlug

© DenLorsTools.com Summary: At this time at least one law firm is investigating a spark plug problem with certain Ford vehicles (4.6 and 5.4 3v engines) after widespread reports by owners regarding costly repairs. For several years now, DenLors Tools has been helping to inform and supply Ford owners with the tools and information needed to remove broken spark plugs in these motors. Our goal is to help our customers get their vehicles back on the road quickly and as inexpensively as possible. Some that may have found our repair articles on this subject (Ford Spark Plug Problems) too late may have fell victim to a much larger repair bill. Recently, we’ve learned of a possible class action lawsuit which may help recoup some of their losses.

Many car and truck owners of Ford or Lincoln 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 with 3-valve engines have been experiencing serious problems while removing the spark plugs in these vehicles, resulting in considerably higher repair and maintenance costs (typically anywhere from several hundred dollars to $3,000). DenLors Tool’s role as a tool supplier has been to provide information and tools for the most cost effective way to remove broken spark plugs. See our related articles for more information on how to deal with the dreaded Ford 3V broken spark plugs. We are NOT here to place blame. However, this has been such a widespread problem, we felt the need to spread the word of a possible legal action which may help many recoup their losses. Ford owners of 3v engines with this problem may want to look into this themselves – there’s a potential for a class action law suit to be formed. One law-firm that is currently seeking victims advertises from time to time, you could also search “Ford Spark Plug Defect” on Google. I hope this class action costs Ford an arm and a leg. Just about all these stupid car companies purposely design they’re crappy cars and trucks with the mindset of making the owners have to come back to the dealership for service.

My daughter just had her’s worked on and of 8 plugs 7 broke off with the actual tool that is made to take these plugs out.

Already swallowed one plug, cost me 2G! Now the other side is going!, Airbag light is on, 4 wheel drive quit working and the damn drive shaft fell off. Shame on you Ford

A spark plug has “popped out” of the engine while driving on my husband’s Ford F150 truck more than once. This is the second time and it costs us $682 each time it has happened. The garage charges us for use of a special equipment tool that is not affordable to us. TWICE a spark plug has just popped out while driving. We have had the truck less than 3 years. This is ridiculous and if there isn’t a lawsuit against Ford, there should be one. I’d join it in a heartbeat!!! They are fully aware of the problem because when I called to report it to Ford the woman said, “oh, yes so it is a spark plug problem”, before I even told her what was wrong.

Don’t waste your money on the OTC6918 tool’ Broke 3 plugs above the jamb nut with this thing. One of them was #8 the hardest to get to. Got the Lisle 65600 and got the pieces out after much cussing and digging out the porcelain. Don’t like the idea of the 3 piece plugs but they come out easier with the Lisle tool.
