The Time-Sert 2200 is used primarily on Toyotas although these tips can be used on other universal kits as well. Before you start a good practice is to always check the insert size to verify the correct size and thread pitch is being used. Remember that the head bolt will NOT thread completely into the insert until it has been installed all the way into the cylinder block with the installation driver. The use of the driver is what completes the threads at the bottom of the insert. When the threads are completed, the insert is locked in because the bottom is swedged outward, holding it in securely.
